Happy first day of Blogtober! Pumpkin spice everything is out (I pass), the decorations for Fall and Halloween are out, and I am really excited for this time of year. I want to let you know about the things that are going on in the city for the season.

One thing you can do is go to Jack’s Pumpkin Pop-Up on Goose Island. It’s all ages, the bar is for ages 21+ and there’s ax-throwing, Instagram-worthy photo-ops, and on the 13th, there’s a Scream Night. You can host events throughout the month and have fun. The pop-up runs through November 5. Get tickets ahead of time because they do sell out fast.

Another place to go is All Seasons Orchard in Woodstock, IL. My friend Marites told me about this place. She went with her family to pick apples and have fun. There’s a pumpkin patch, food, and something for the kiddos. The orchard runs through October 29th.

Chicago Halloweek has fun in the various neighborhoods of the city: a Dio de los Muertos celebration at Marquette Park, Cider with the Sanderson Sisters, and trick-or-treating at Moore Park. I plan on attending some of these events with Zora.

I think that’s it for now. I’ll see you tomorrow!
