April is finally here, and I’m for it!

First, the solar eclipse is on Monday. I will view it from my job’s parking lot because it offers unobstructed views, and I bought ISO-approved glasses for the people in my department. I think Zora’s school will allow the kids to view the eclipse. If not, I hope they can get a live feed into the classroom to see what’s going on in Carbondale, that’s where totality is going to occur, while it’ll be partial here.

Zora got good grades again for the quarter, and now it’s the final push before school is let out for the summer. Hopefully, she will continue the streak, and I have a special treat for her at the end of the school year. I told her if she wanted to become a doctor, teacher, or lawyer, I’d be there with her every step of the way. She will learn how to do things for herself as well. She can do little stuff right now, and she tries to help me with the dishes.

I am working on a new travel series for the site. I have a working title for it, and a few ideas for articles are written in fragments. I’m flying to Miami a couple of days after Christmas wearing a pair of leggings, gym shoes, and a hoodie. If Chicago is freezing in December, I’ll wear a coat. If not, a hoodie will suffice.

That’s it for today. I have to figure out how to add video, and I may start a challenge for myself. I’ll see you in the next post!
