Happy summer, everyone! I’m back, with a lot to tell you about what I’ve been up to. There’s a lot I have been going through, both within myself and with my daughter Z.

I have been working full-time at a major hospital since September 2005, around the same time I began the Great Lock-In that I crashed and burned on immediately. I learned I can’t take on too much, especially as I’m getting back on track with working full-time and figuring out a schedule that works for content creation, reading, and my holiday novella. I’m about 10 months in, and I’ll have one year at my place of work soon. I will be celebrating that occasion as well.

Speaking of schedules, I am on an inconsistent sleep schedule. I am sleep-deprived, thanks to Z being at home all summer long and taking care of my mom. Z has an ADHD diagnosis and a possible autism diagnosis as well, and my mom is aging. I’m learning about the aging process, ADHD, and autism so I can know what to look for. What I want to do is learn how to parent a child with her diagnoses and also ensure she can overcome some of the struggles she’s been having.

Later this summer, I am attending my first BTS concert. I will be attending Day 2 here in Chicago and making freebies for the event. I’m making Christmas ornaments, and I’ll have a tutorial on how I made them. I got my tickets back in January without knowing what their new album would look like or what the song list would be, and just went in blind. It’s going to be at Soldier Field, and I’m in the nosebleeds for the August 28th show. I’ll attend the concert solo, and my goal is to make friends there.

I think that’s it for now. I’ll be back in the next post!
