It’s been a very busy several days for Zora and me. She completed summer camp and I bought some of her school supplies that are on sale right now, as is the uniform that I’m buying. She has some of her school clothes she can still fit into. She also needs street clothes to wear so that she’s not solely depending on one set of clothes to wear day in, day out. I am beginning to see signs for Halloween intermixed with more school supplies.

School starts on the twenty-first of this month and Zora is really excited to begin first grade. I have seen a lot of growth from her and I couldn’t be more proud of her. She is also in the after-school program where she’ll get a little extra help with homework and she may be a part of the dance team there. I intend to be there with Zora every step of the way.

Tomorrow Zora begins her life as a first-grader and I have to get her to bed. See you all in the next post!
