Day 7 of Blogtober

A typical day off from work for me usually entails taking Zora to school and resting for the rest of the day. I look around my tiny apartment and see a lot of things that need to be cleaned up: the kitchen, the bedroom/living room, the closet, and the bathroom. The majority of the time, I’ll nap for a few hours.

The first day I have off from work (I work at night), I have a plan to catch up on some reading. My TBR book list is a mile long, and I do plan on buying the books I want to read. I also need to curb my spending on books, as I don’t have enough space to store them all. I have a book cart that quickly filled up with books, and I have one in my book bag that I’m reading. My goal is to read for 30 minutes a day until I have completed a book.

The next thing I want to do is write my novella. I know it’s only four chapters, but the scenes I’m writing are complex. One chapter came quickly, but the next chapter needs a scene to be finished before I move on to the following two chapters. I am in talks with a graphic artist who would love to work with me on my covers. I have a continuity strain for the book series, where I would stay with the artist to maintain the theme.

The final thing I want to do is finally finish decluttering the small apartment. The goal is to move into a new apartment next year, before I begin my search for a house. I want Zora to have a backyard to play in, and I want to host holiday dinners. The thing I need to do is get my finances in order. I’ll discuss that in a later post.

That’s it for tonight. I’ll see you in the next post!
