It’s supposed to be Fall, but the fall weather isn’t around. Where is it, and why can’t I find it?
I remember when I was younger, the high temperatures would be in the low sixties. It was time to wear a hoodie, a heavy sweatshirt, or your lightest puffy jacket. The lows were in the upper forties to low fifties, and the day could get away with a few seventy-degree days before moving on.
As the years went by, there have been Indian Summers in October, and snow a few times on Halloween. I used to see frost in the early mornings, and it would disappear by the time I got out of school or work. The leaves are still turning into the yellows, golds, and reds I’m accustomed to seeing, so there’s a consolation in that. Today, the temperatures were in the mid-sixties, which made me happy. The mornings have a bite to them, and I’d like the afternoons to match.
I know it’s only ten days into October, but I’m ready to get super cozy with a couple of books and some hot tea. Would it kill Mother Nature to throw in a fall thunderstorm?
That’s it for now. Tomorrow, I’ll outline my nighttime work activities as much as possible. I’ll see you tomorrow!
