Day 9 of Blogtober

Saturday, Zora and I participated in a slumber party. We had fast food, watched TV and movies, and had breakfast at a pancake house. There was also a cat involved in the madness.

My friend Iris wanted to have a slumber party. She called me to ask what we would like to eat. I told her, and she went shopping for the foodstuffs. When Saturday rolled around, I told my daughter about the slumber party, and she was excited. That afternoon, we got on the bus, then transferred to the train and headed north until we reached Iris’s apartment.

When we got to the apartment, Joanie meowed loudly and flopped on the floor in excitement. The cat and Zora played, while I helped Iris with an issue she had with her streaming service. We ate, watched Bluey on Disney Plus, watched The Naked Gun on Paramount Plus, and some of Iris’s friends came over. Later in the night, Zora and the cat played while we talked.

Meet Joanie

Sunday, we went for waffles at Ann Sather, a diner on Broadway and Granville. I had a Denver omelet with hash browns, while Zora and Iris had waffles. Zora and I gathered our belongings and headed home, as I had to get ready for work, and Zora needed to prepare for the school week. I hope I get another free weekend, and we can have another slumber party.

That’s it for now. I’ll see you tomorrow!
