Creativity is my anti-drug.
I’m a lover by nature, a writer by choice, and a photographer by trade.
I have a moral responsibility to myself to be honest, respectful, and to overcome obstacles to move forward.
I write, take pictures, socialize online and in person, shop, and do everything else in between when I have free time.
My name is Sharon, a self-proclaimed hot mess. I am not a perfect person; I am as flawed as humanly possible. On this site, you may see a little bit of yourself in me; you may not. My hair is nappy, I am not a gourmet chef, and I am no expert in anything except for sass, sarcasm, and cursing. I do have one thing under my belt: the ability to write well. Admittedly, I do make silly mistakes in my writing (mixing up verb tenses is my biggest sin), and I own them.
I began my writing journey at the age of nine. I originally wanted to be a lawyer, but my speaking skills were lacking. I picked up a notebook and began writing some poetry here and there. As I grew older, I came across a book that included a section on journal writing and decided to try it for the summer. I was hooked on keeping one, and I still keep one. Years later, my lack of speaking skills didn’t stop me from taking a job as a field organizer, enrolling in a public speaking class in community college, or majoring in journalism, where I had to ask questions to the people I interviewed.
